TITLE:   Long Haul Driver

POSITION SUMMARY:   Drives truck with capacity of more than three tons to transport grocery and consumer goods to and from specified destination.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum age of 23 years

• Must currently hold a valid commercial driver license (CDL)

• Must meet all requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations regarding Driver Qualifications

• Minimum one year verifiable tractor-trailer experience

• No DUI in previous five (5) years

• No positive test results for controlled substances in the last two (2) years

• No more than four (4) moving violations in the last three (3) years and no more than two (2) moving violations within the last 12 months; a valid MVR must be reviewed before  driver may operate company equipment

• No major preventable accidents in previous three (3) years

• Ability to interact with all levels of personnel

• Ability to attend company meetings when necessary (quarterly)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drives truck to destination

• Completes paperwork for deliveries & pick-up

• Maintain logs according to company, state and federal regulations

• Maintain contact with dispatch to receive pick-up & delivery instructions.

• Loads & unloads truck

• Advises dispatch of shortages & damages

• Performs other duties as assigned.
